What is React Router?
React Router is the routing and application framework for React. Since version 7 it also includes the capabilities of Remix: data loading per route, forms and mutations, and optional server rendering. Each route handles its own data and errors, so even large portals stay easy to follow.
Why React Router?
Made for applications
Loaders and actions per route make fetching and saving data predictable.
Light and fast
No unnecessary layers. Screens switch instantly, even in large portals.
Independent
Runs on any hosting and connects to any backend, such as our ASP.NET APIs.
What we use it for
- AClient and partner portals
- BDashboards and admin panels
- CSaaS applications behind a login
- DInternal business tools
When do you choose React Router?
React Router is our standard for portals and logged-in environments. If a portal also needs to be easy to find in Google, such as a public platform, we choose Next.js.
React Router or Next.js?
Behind a login, speed and simplicity count, not findability. That is where React Router is the lighter and more predictable choice. We use Next.js when pages are public and need to rank well in search engines.
